Development at York Scout Activity Centre

York Scout Activity Centre is constantly evolving. Our aim is to create a vibrant outdoor venue where young people, community groups and organisations can enjoy adventure, learning and time in nature.

Over the coming years we plan to continue developing the site to improve facilities, expand activities and ensure the centre remains a fantastic place for future generations.

Our Vision

We want York Scout Activity Centre to be a place where people can:

• Experience the outdoors in a safe and welcoming environment

• Take part in exciting activities and challenges

• Develop skills, confidence and teamwork

• Create lasting memories with friends and colleagues

Planned Improvements

We are working on a number of developments across the site, including:

• New activities such as archery, air rifle shooting and outdoor laser quest

• Improved activity spaces to support adventure and learning

• Upgraded facilities to make the site more accessible and comfortable for all users

• Enhanced camping and accommodation areas

• Better infrastructure to support larger events and visiting groups

Many of these projects will be delivered in stages as funding, volunteers and resources become available.

A Centre Built by the Community

York Scout Activity Centre has been developed and maintained by volunteers and supporters for many years. The continued improvement of the site depends on the dedication of people who give their time, skills and support to help us move forward.
