Delivering Social Value

To support this, we are developing a range of clearly defined projects aligned with the TOMs (Themes, Outcomes and Measures) framework used within the Social Value Portal. Corporate Volunteering Days

A corporate volunteering day at York Scout Activity Centre is a fantastic opportunity for colleagues to step away from the office, work together outdoors and make a real difference.

Whether it’s painting buildings, repairing fences, clearing woodland, landscaping, constructing new activity features or tackling general maintenance, every helping hand has a lasting impact on the centre and the thousands of visitors who use it each year.

We were delighted to recently welcome the fantastic team from Aviva, who spent two days volunteering at the centre, completing a variety of maintenance and improvement projects. Their enthusiasm, teamwork and hard work have helped keep our site looking its best and ready for the next generation of Scouts and visitors to enjoy.
