Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | Friday – Sunday, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM EST | On-call required (2–3 call shifts/month); availability for holidays and callback per unit needs

Key Responsibilities

• Confirm patient identity and exam verification prior to initiating scans, strictly adhering to department policy and procedure for patient safety
• Coordinate with physicians to provide diagnostic imaging services
• Prepare patients for scans, explain procedures, and insert IVs when necessary
• Position patients appropriately, including lifting or moving patients with limited mobility using safe patient handling techniques
• Maintain accurate patient records by documenting all necessary components within EPIC, identifying images, and ensuring images are sent to the PACS system correctly upon exam completion
• Maintain a clean and safe scanning environment

Required Qualifications

• Completion of formal training in an approved School of Radiologic Technology and active certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
• New York State (NYS) licensure required — must be obtained prior to start date
• Healthcare providers currently registered in NYS must have injection therapy certification noted on their license at time of submission
• Minimum two (2) years of CT Technologist experience
• Level 1 Trauma Center experience required
• BLS certification (American Heart Association only)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Injection certification preferred; candidates willing to complete certification during the orientation process will be considered
• Knowledge of Philips and Siemens imaging equipment preferred
• Telemetry experience preferred
