Workers will perform agricultural labor related to the care of dairy cattle during the employer’s seasonal winter period of increased labor need. Duties include feeding, watering, moving, bedding, and caring for cattle and calves; cleaning and maintaining pens, barns, alleys, feeding areas, and livestock facilities; assisting with calf and maternity care; and operating farm equipment such as tractors, skid steers, loaders, and feed wagons. Workers will assist with milking operations as needed, including moving cattle, preparing cows for milking, attaching and removing milking equipment, and cleaning milking facilities and equipment. Winter duties include providing additional bedding, scraping and cleaning livestock areas, removing snow and ice, maintaining safe livestock areas, and assisting with frozen or restricted water systems. Housing: Employer-provided (including mobile or range) Meals: Employer will furnish free and convenient cooking and kitchen facilities, all of which are in working order, including refrigeration, space for food preparation, cooking accessories and utensils, appliances, and dishwashing facilities so that workers may prepare their own meals. Kitchen facilities include adequate sinks with hot and cold water under pressure. Employer will provide transportation once a week to assure workers access to stores where they can purchase groceries, when the employer is providing cooking and kitchen facilities. Once hired, worker may be required to take a drug test at no cost to the worker and be subject to the employers drug free and alcohol free workplace policy including testing protocols.
